Wednesday's College Action

"Well, I certainly hope the refs don't make it as obvious as the last time we played Florida State. Good refs on the take are so hard to find these days."

Duke at Florida State. Let's see if the Seminoles get jobbed again in Talahassee the way the were in Durham. Hopefully, no refs are suspended as a result this time. Let Alexander Johnson play! If Shelden Williams can't handle the dude, too bad. FSU looking to stay above .500 in ACC play, which could prove to be huge to their chances at tourney.

Georgia at Florida. U of F = University of Frauds. Joakim Noah might need to chop the pretty ponytail before Gators are taken seriously again.

George Washington at St Bonaventure. I'm pretty sure any team dubbed 'the Bonnies' is predisposed to eternal losing.

UConn at South Florida. USF is bad. Bobby Huggins is needed. Five points to anyone who remembers Radenko Dobras.

Marquette at Louisville. Marquette fighting for a nice seed in NCAA tourney; Cards just trying to make it to the Garden.

St John's at Villanova. Allan Ray's knee injury isn't serious. Just a sprain. Deep breaths.

Colorado at Kansas. Jayhawks looking to bounce back after beatdown at Texas. Buffs looking to solidify NCAA hopes, which could be shaky if they lose here and in their finale against Iowa State.

Texas at Texas A&M. Not quite the rivalry of the gridiron, but with five straight wins, the Aggies are 18-7 and knocking on the door. A solid showing here could do wonders.

Indiana at Purdue. Hoosiers' fading chances need a win here against bitter in-state rival. Does Davis leave on a good note or more disappointment?

Ohio State at Northwestern. Illini Nation will be watching this one closely. Cats can help Illini back into share of first place with win. They've been tough at home. Here's hoping Vedran Vukusic goes nutty.

Kentucky at Tennessee. When's the last time Kentucky got swept by the Vols?

Penn State at Iowa. Hawkeyes have lost two in a row and their spot atop Big Ten as Steve Alford-to-Indiana rumors intensify.

Auburn at Alabama. Tide firmly on bubble. Can't slip up.

Mississippi State at Arkansas. With three straight wins over Florida, Bama, and Tennessee, the Razorbacks are flying.

Virginia at North Carolina. Cavs won the first meeting.

Tulsa at UTEP. At 18-7, UTEP still thinking NCAA, but leading scorer and rebounder John Tofi is done for the year with knee injury.

Tonight's likes...

Notre Dame (+1) at Providence.

Tennessee (-5) over Kentucky.

Nets (-2) at Timberwolves.

March Record: 0-0
Final February record: 22-21-1
Final January record: 24-15
