I Can't Stop Laughing

"...and in conclusion, I feel that if the horses come around the left flank while the archers do likewise around the right flank, we should be in and out of Iraq in no time."

You can't make this stuff up. Donald Rumsfeld on Condoleezza Rice's assertion that the U.S. has made thousands of "tactical errors" in handling the war in Iraq...

"Why? Because the enemy's got a brain; the enemy watches what you do and then adjusts to that, so you have to constantly adjust and change your tactics, your techniques and your procedures. If someone says, well, that's a tactical mistake, then I guess it's a lack of understanding, at least my understanding, of what warfare is about."

Hahahahahahahaha! An understanding of warfare? Hahahahahahahahaha! Stop it. You're killing me.

I don't know if this is funniest because...

A) Rumsfeld, who I'm pretty sure never saw battle himself, is scolding others for a "lack of understanding" of warfare, or...

B) Rumsfeld has spearheaded the colossal fuck-up that is Iraq, or...

C) The bastards are turning on each other.

We are a nation run by fools and assholes. OK, I'm done laughing.

By the way, here was Rumsfeld, that bastion of military wisdom, in November, 2002...

"I can't tell you if the use of force in Iraq today will last five days, five weeks or five months, but it won't last any longer than that."

Fools and assholes.

And liars.

"Rumsfeld, you better shut your trap, or I'll let the word in on your, uh, little secret...yeah, you know what I'm talking about, two inches."
